All domestic cats are born with the purring ability. The mother cat will purr while giving birth. It is unknown whether this is because of happy anticipation, or whether it is a relaxing “mantra.” All of her kittens instinctively purr when nursing, and the mom-cat purrs right back at them. Your favorite cat will purr at the drop of a hat whenever you’re near, especially when you are holding or petting him.

Cat purrs will range from a deep rumble to a raspy, broken sound, to a high-pitched trill, depending on the physiology and/or the mood of a cat. A cat will often “wind-down” when going to sleep, with a long purring sigh that drops melodically from a high to a low pitch. Does your cat’s purr sometimes sound like an idling diesel engine? That’s because at the lower range of 26 Hertz, the velocities are nearly the same. A happy cat will sit up high in the cat furniture and just purr all day long, that is when they are not cat napping.

The best New Years present you can find for them is the new designer cat tree which looks, tastes and feels like a real outdoor tree they are used to sleeping in the mid afternoon. You can see them at Cat Place USA under designer cat trees.

Why does a cat go up a tree in the first place? There are several reasons why cats climb trees, mostly to do with predatory or defensive tactics. Cats climb trees at times to get a better view of their surroundings, to help them see any potential dangers or potential pray. It may be that cats climb trees for fun, on occasion, or possibly to work on improving their climbing abilities. Kittens frequently test out their claw skills by trying to climb up anything and everything, from bookcases to trees to your leg. Climbing practice is good for cats; it can improve their strength and flexibility and teach them an important defensive skill. To prevent them from practicing indoor climbing of your Christmas Tree, however, you may wish to purchase a carpeted cat tree for climbing, and feel less guilty warning them away from your beautifully decorated Christmas Tree.

I have also found from taking care of my seven cats they like to sleep on cat trees, window seats, small crinkle throws and even outdoor kitty heated pads. So make your cat a happy camper this winter with a new place to sleep.

However, there are many problems letting your babies outside to enjoy this phenomena because they might get lost, run over by a car or become prey for a hawk. So what is the solution to this problem.

The perfect solution is to give them a cat window perch so they can view the greater outdoors. There are comfortable perches that fit on the window or the Cat Veranda that allows the cat to sit outdoors. Either way your cat view outside or just sleep on the comfortable perches. This will create an ideal paradise for your cat. If you have more than one cat, you’ll will probably have to have several purchase at different locations in your house. All the same, you’ll be giving you cat an adorable sweet little home.

Well, we found the perfect cat tree your your living room. Its a real tree designed to give your cats the luxury of climbing and playing like they would out doors. Plenty place to hide and take naps. Your just love this new home decor tree that gives yor feel like you are outdoors. This cat furniture was just introduced in the National Pet Show in February 2009 with great reviews.

Cats that scratch seldom break the habit. It’s a natural instinct for cats to sharpen their claws, and cats that don’t do it on scratching posts often turn to the furniture. Instead of having a cat declawed, which is inhumane, it’s a better idea to install indoor cat fences around those locations where you don’t want your cat to scratch. Providing your cat with a simple collar and installing an indoor fence will keep them away from the furniture they often scratch. Cats are animals of habit; they will often find one object to scratch and want to stick with it, so warding off that object alone can break their scratching habit.

Indoor cat fences are simple to install and affordable on most any budget. Don’t keep replacing your furniture and becoming mad at your cat, just set up indoor cat fences and break them of the habit the humane way!

Cat lovers around the world know that the smell of cat litter can be a little nerve wracking, and that is often why we put the litter box in an out of the way place. However, there are a number of methods to mask the scent of cat litter and odors without a whole lot of effort. First of all, an air purifier can be a great solution to eliminating the unpleasant smell of cat litter boxes. If you don’t have an air purifier or don’t wish to purchase one, you can also use air freshener with an odor eliminator. It’s important that the air freshener contains an odor eliminator otherwise it’s just covering the smell. You might also consider switching your litter as some litters don’t contain the odor eliminating products others do.

Find the solution that works for you, and your home will be free from the litter box odor and you can focus on enjoying the company of your cat!

What’s up my homies! This is your feline aficionado Franky Fresh again, and I want to tell ya’ll a tale about my favorite feline King K. Now all the haters out there will deny this, but King K’s cat house was almost featured on an episode of MTV’s cribs! Now I know what ya’ll are saying, “Hey Franky, King K’s no celebrity!”. Well ya’ll would be right about that, but King K has a reputation around this hood, and ain’t nobody who denies that he has the flyest cat house on the west coast.

King K’s cat house didn’t just happen over night, that stuff took years to customize and design. It began from just a standard cat house that you can buy from any pet store, then over time me and King K tricked that stuff out. We put in a Jacuzzi (cause King K likes the water, he’s straight crazy like that), and also added a moon roof, aquariums with live fish, and a serious sound system for bumping the fresh beats. All the other cats around the hood want to party at King K’s place. His cat house get so wild on the weekends that sometimes the Fire Marshal gets all up in here! It’s straight crazy ya’ll.
