Hands Free Cat Containment

April 17th, 2009 · No Comments · Cat Containment Systems

cat-150x150It’s nice to let your cat outside once in a while, but if you live in an urban area it can be dangerous.  Letting your cat run free you run the risk of another person picking them up, being hit by a car, or chased down by dog.  Under these circumstances, a cat containment fence is the preferred solution.  These fences are triggered when a cat wearing a radio collar steps outside of the boundaries.  Then, the collar delivers the cat a small shock that tells them to move back inside the boundaries.

Putting up a cat containment fence in a small garden on the rooftop or at the ground level is an excellent idea.  You can just put on the cat’s radio collar and then let them outdoors, and not have to worry about them becoming lost or getting into trouble.  It’s a great option for people who live in apartments or condominiums in urban areas.
